Sallie

Sallie is an ERYT500 and has been teaching yoga since 2007. As well as a certified AIReal yoga teacher and a Y12SR Leader, she is also an Āyurvedic Health Counselor and wellness consultant. She is currently training to become a 300hr certified meditation teacher. Her yoga, Sanskrit and holistic health training include workshops and intensives with Angela Farmer, Nicholai Bachman, Scott Blossom, Joe Taft, David Swenson, Michael Johnson, Shala Worsley, Carmen Curtis, and Buddhist teacher, Michael Stone. She has extensive training in Vinyasa and Yin yoga, as well as in meditation. In her private sessions, Sallie emphasizes alignment for your body. She specializes in therapeutic yoga, functional alignment, and creative flow sequences. She also teaches private aerial yoga and Yin yoga classes. When signing up for sessions, please indicate if you would like one of the specialized series packages below.
~Therapeutic Yoga (Recommended: Intake + 5 Sessions minimum) In these sessions, Sallie creates a yoga practice specifically for your needs, with any acute or chronic injuries in mind. Students learn specific postures and exercises, alignment techniques, and variations of traditional yoga poses to heal the body and support long-term health. An initial intake consisting of a questionnaire and a series of simple movements will determine range of motion, flexibility, and physical challenges and strengths.
~Beginner Alignment Basics (Recommended: 5 Sessions minimum) If you’re new to yoga, these sessions are designed to prepare you for group classes and to reduce the risk of injury. Students learn the names of common postures and how to practice them, general alignment rules, and how to adjust for your body.
~Kick that Asana (Recommended: Intake + 3 sessions) This package is for those students who wish to take their asana or pranayama practice to the next level. These sessions focus on a specific posture or group of postures, whether you want to get into a headstand, work on arm balances or find your split for the first time. Sessions include assists, breakdowns of postural alignment and a hatha or vinyasa practice, depending on the student.
~Vinyasa Flow/Yin sessions for your level (Recommended: Intake + 3 sessions minimum) Can’t make the group classes? Do you want to practice more? Learn more? No matter where you are on your journey, you may desire more attention than what is possible in a group setting. You may want to delve deeper into your physical practice, focus on breathing, practice meditation or learn more about the chakras. Private sessions with Sallie will be yoga suited to your needs.
~Beginning AIReal Yoga: Using The Hammock as a Prop (4 Session Package $350) These sessions are designed to get students familiar with the aerial hammock. Students learn to safely practice standing and seated postures with the hammock as a support prop, and how to utilize the hammock to assist them into postures that are normally unattainable or challenging. Students also learn basic in-hammock postures, and how to get in and out of the hammock safely.
~AIReal Yoga (Single Class $75) Only available once students have taken the 4 session package.
~Ayurveda (Intake + 4 Sessions minimum) Prior to your two-hour initial session, you will receive an intake form to complete and return before your appointment (including a dosha questionnaire which will help Sallie to better understand your unique Āyurvedic constitution). Based on the information from your intake form, we will discuss your lifestyle, any issues you’re experiencing and want to address, and your end goals. From an Āyurvedic perspective, we will look at your energy level, diet and digestive system, sleep, yoga practices, and other parts of your life that may be affecting your wellbeing. Together we’ll create a practical daily routine (called dinacharya) that will bring more regularity and balance to your life. Sallie will also include a one-month supply of spice mix and tea, blended uniquely for you based on your current needs. Follow up appointments will be used to discuss what did and didn’t work for you, to address challenges and successes you encountered, and to fine-tune your daily routine to support continued growth.

Whitney

Whitney started practicing yoga in 2008 right here at Full Circle, seeking relief for ongoing neck and back issues. She attended classes on and off for years and developed a respect and love for what yoga had to offer – both the physical and mental health aspects.
She graduated with her 200-hour certification from The OM Place in Winchester, KY, in June of 2014, and started teaching classes to the masses that fall, back home where the journey began.
She enjoys teaching beginners and helping them establish a level of comfort with the practice and how to approach yoga for their individual needs.
She teaches gentle yoga, basic hatha, slow vinyasa flow, restorative, chair yoga, breathwork, and meditation to groups and through private lessons.
She is currently pursuing additional training to help better share informed practices and offer Prenatal and Postnatal classes.
